Located on the 20th floor in the garden city of Hangzhou, this luxury apartment was designed for a businesswoman seeking elegance, functionality, and a private retreat during her travels in China. The client envisioned a space that would reflect her strong, confident personality—while also serving as a refined setting for professional dinners and gatherings. The interiors are defined by bold black feature walls, refined materials, and a carefully curated palette of greys and balanced white surfaces, creating a sophisticated and timeless atmosphere. Metallic accents, created in collaboration with the artist De Castelli, introduce a distinctive, contemporary aesthetic. The lighting design is subtle and nearly invisible—crafted to enhance every line and surface without distraction. Nearly half of the apartment is dedicated to the master suite, which includes a spacious walk-in wardrobe tailored for the client’s collection of shoes and handbags. At its center stands a B&B Italia king-size bed, separated from a striking black bathtub by Antonio Lupi, flanked by an elegant linear fireplace—creating an intimate and luxurious retreat within the home.
